Charter of Black Raven

The pirate ship Black Raven can be chartered for different events, such as birthday parties, weddings, anniversaries, company events and more.

Ship Capacity:
The ship is U. S. Coast Guard approved for 127 passengers, however, since seating capacity is 95, this will be our max capacity. Max seating capacity under roof, 42. If catering will be part of the excursion, max capacity will be 80 passengers.

Price:
$1,250.00 for two hours, 1 – 35 guests

Catering Option:
Special catering package – Raid on Aunt Kate’s (food pick-up)*
As an option, we offer a very special and unique delivery of the catered food. For the price of $275.00 you can add this extraordinary adventure. We will sail to Aunt Kate’s restaurant where the food will be delivered in a treasure chest. However, the pirates have to win the sword fight in order to plunder the chest.

Cash Bar:
We offer a fully licensed cash bar. However, due to space limitation, our inventory has limited selection. Our base consists of American beer, red and white wine and the following hard liquors: Smirnoff Vodka, Jonny Walker Red Label Whiskey, Bacardi Rum and Jose Cuervo Tequila. Mixers: Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite, Red Bull, Tonic Water, Ginger Ale, Orange Juice, Margarita Mix (we do not make frozen Margaritas) and Bottle Water. Price: Beer, wine and shots of hard liquor is $4.00, sodas $3.00 and water $2.00. On request, we provide Black Raven’s very special rum based Grog, $4.00.

Premium liquor, wine and imported beer on request: $6.00+ per serving.

Wedding
Wedding ceremony: $500.00
Includes tickets for the bride and groom, decoration and reservation of the forecastle, the wedding ceremony conducted by our state licensed Pirate Blackbeard, toast for the bride and groom after the ceremony, filing of the official documents and Black Raven’s wedding certificate.

Black Powder Demonstration and Firing:
Our licensed crew can provide a demonstration and firing of black powder during day light hours. $75.00.

Gratuity:
Fifteen percent (15%) gratuity will be added to the total.

Sales Tax:
A six percent (6%) sales tax will be added to the total.

Payment:
A fifty percent (50%) deposit of the estimated total amount is required upon time of reservation. The balance is due the day of reservation but prior to departure. We accept Visa, Master and Discovery cards.

Cancellation:
Deposit, minus 10% of contract value,  is refundable up to 14 days prior to reservation time. After that it becomes non-refundable. In case of inclement weather situation, the cruise will be delayed, rescheduled or canceled. If canceled, the deposit will be refunded except for the catered food (unless the restaurant agrees to cancel without any charges).

*We will sail up the Tolomato River to Aunt Kate’s restaurant and dock. The catered food will be delivered to the dock in a large treasure chest. When Black Raven slowly approaches the dock, only the treasure chest and a pirate guard will be visible on the dock. The guard is sitting down and seems to be at sleep. After the ship has reached the dock, two pirates will jump down to steal the treasure chests. They quickly realize that the chest is guarded by the sleeping pirate. He wakes up and the Black Raven crew will try to strike a deal with him but to no avail. A sword fight takes place on the dock. Shots may be fired. The crew of Black Raven will overpower the lonely pirate guard and even take him as a hostage. As soon as the treasure chest and the hostage are onboard, the ship will leave the dock and it will be time for all the guests to enjoy the feast. The hostage will quickly become a team member of Black Raven. No passengers are allowed to disembark during this short stop.
